The IRA is a piece of legislation passed in August of 2022 that sets aside funds for grants, loans, tax credits, tax rebates, and other funding mechanisms to incentivize states, municipalities, and residents to take advantage of emission reduction programs. The programs in the IRA put the United States on track to decrease greenhouse gas emissions by around 40% below 2005 levels by 2030.

This page provides information for homeowners, community-based organizations, governments, businesses, farmers and agricultural producers, and housing developers and building owners about the programs and benefits they are eligible to apply for.
