  Grants up to $30,000 to assist homeowners on Hawai‘i Island who are in financial hardship to reduce their monthly payments or pay past due mortgages, property taxes, or HOA fees to prevent foreclosure. Funding is limited to homeowners who reside on Hawai‘i Island and whose household income is at or below 150% area median income.

The Hawaiʻi Island Digital Equity Coalition, or HIDEC, is a collection of Hawaiʻi Island partners who stive to bridge the digital divide within our community. The purpose of this group is to:

• Create an island-wide network of of partners committed to achieving digital equity within our lāhui (community).
• Create a public document that Hawaiʻi Island organizations can use to support their funding requests.
• Have the County of Hawaiʻi nationally recognized as a "digital trailblazer" by the NDIA (National Digital Inclusion Alliance).

Hawaiʻi County Mapping Project 

Hawaiʻi County completed an ArcGIS story map to visualize ongoing County projects and projects that are available to the community. The story map is organized into two parts. The first part shares eligible projects for Broadband, Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program allocations. The second portion showcases ongoing broadband related County projects, which includes collaborative projects with community organizations.

FCC National Broadband Mapping Challenge 

The County of Hawaiʻi  is asking for support from the community to submit their availability of fiber internet services to the FCC for allocation of Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program funding ($42.45 billion) to expand high-speed internet access.

Access to the internet provides opportunities for education, telehealth, workforce development, and social opportunities. Please search for your address to see if the information provided is accurate.
